One of the easier ways to get a new physical agility testing program validated is through the Content Validation Process. Our E.R.H. staff will come in and evaluate current testing and perform the necessary study so as to validate the testing process to see if changes need to be made. Whether it be new hire testing, annual incumbent testing of existing program or transporting another test used at a similar department. We can offer validation.

The JRAT was created for Horry County Fire back in 2006 for New Hire Agility Testing and for Annual Incumbent Testing. Since then there have been over 7000 JRAT's performed within Horry County and over 1000 outside the area. The JRAT was also adopted by departments across the state and as far as Alabama.

The E.R.H. staff can create a JRAT for your department too. Along with the JRAT came the EMS JRAT which too had great success. Agility testing development can be utilized by all facets of Public Safety from Fire Departments, EMS to Police and Detention Officers. Just give us a call, we are here to help!

Almost every fire, EMS, and police service run into the problem with injuries from back and muscular skeletal. These areas of concern can be discovered with the application of a FMS assessment.

What is FMS?

FMS is the screening tool used to identify limitations or asymmetries in seven fundamental movement patterns that are key to functional movement quality in individuals with no current pain complaint or known musculoskeletal injury.

These movement patterns are designed to provide observable performance of basic loco motor, manipulative and stabilizing movements by placing an individual in extreme positions where weaknesses and imbalances become noticeable if appropriate mobility and motor control is not utilized.

Here at E.R.H. we can come in and perform these screens for personnel in your department. Contact E.R.H. for more information.
